Liturgical Ministries - are open to Catholics who are registered members of the parish as one way to live out our Baptism and also to serve in our daily worship of Word and Sacrament. Please contact the office 503-285-4539 to serve as a Liturgical Minister.
Altar Servers - are Catholics who are registered members of the parish who assist the clergy at Masses and other liturgical rites. Young people must be in their 5th Grade year or older. Senior servers are those who are 8th Grade and older.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion - are fully initiated Catholics who are at least 16 years old and registered members of the parish. They assist in the distribution of the Eucharist during Mass and/or carrying Word and Sacrament to those who are homebound due to age or illness. Instruction is required as well as a two-year commitment.
Lectors - are fully initiated Catholics who are at least 16 years old and registered members of the parish. They assist in the proclamation of the Scriptures during Mass. Instruction is required as well as a two-year commitment.
Musicians - are parishioners who assist during Mass through leading sacred song and/or playing musical instruments. Contact Philippe Kreiter, pkreiter@holyredeemerpdx.org for more information.
Sacristans - are Catholics who are at least 16 years old and registered members of the parish. They assist in set-up before Mass and the clean-up after Mass of the liturgical vessels, books, etc. Instruction is required.
Ushers/Hospitality Ministry - welcome those who come to Mass and attend to the practical needs of welcome & hospitality, safety and security, collections and processions. Instruction is required as well as a two-year commitment.
